Description

Design and develop high-performance, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java 11/17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, Streams, Connect).
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Model data and tune performance using Apache Cassandra and relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Deploy and manage services using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems.
• Proficient in Apache Cassandra, including data modeling, CQL, clustering keys, and tuning.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, CAP theorem, and eventual consistency.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of observability practices: logging (ELK/EFK), metrics (Prometheus/Grafana), and tracing (Jaeger/Zipkin).
