Description

Design, develop, and maintain Java applications within an AWS cloud environment while implementing DevOps practices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Java-based applications using AWS services like EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
• Collaborate with team members through paired development and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java development experience with strong OOP and design pattern knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Expertise in automation scripting.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer).
• Recent experience with Java/AWS/DevOps stack at Capital One.
