Description

You will develop and maintain high-volume, highly available Java applications within a distributed environment, focusing on system modernization and cloud deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement web services using REST and SOAP protocols.
• Migrate legacy mainframe COBOL and DB2 applications to distributed Java and SQL or MongoDB platforms.
• Deploy cloud-based solutions using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) models.
• Build scalable solutions using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Data Flow.
• Write automated tests using Mockito, JUnit, or similar frameworks to ensure code quality.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with Java and the Spring framework.
• 2+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD and continuous build processes using Bamboo or Bitbucket/Git.
• 6+ years of experience with distributed databases including SQL Server, MongoDB, and Informatica.
• Experience with cloud development and high-volume transaction environments.
• Proven experience in system modernization from mainframe to distributed architectures.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and the Atlassian tool stack (Jira).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with .NET framework, C#, and Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Background in Financial Services or Mainframe environments (COBOL, DB2, Batch Processing, Changeman).
