Description

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications and interfaces from requirements through deployment and ongoing support.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing application code or build new components based on detailed technical requirements.
• Manage the full system development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Document all work, including file design, storage, and retrieval processes.
• Maintain developed solutions, resolving operational problems and adding functions within schedule and resource constraints.
• Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory requirements and established coding standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in application development within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Expert knowledge of Java, J2EE, EJB, JavaBeans, Servlets, and JDBC.
• Proficiency with Struts and Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with UNIX (AIX) and UNIX scripting.
• Understanding of testing methods, including unit and integration testing (JUnit, JMock).
• Familiarity with software configuration management, code versioning, and deployment tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information System Management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in financial services or captive auto finance companies.
• Knowledge of WebSphere, WSAD, MQ Series, DB2, or SQL.
