Description

Build time-critical, revenue-generating applications for investment banking and global capital markets. You will own the full development lifecycle, applying design thinking to improve developer efficiency and delivering outstanding outcomes through robust APIs and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, data-intensive, and real-time applications using functional and reactive programming paradigms.
• Build and maintain REST APIs using Spring Boot 2.0, ensuring compliance with Open API (Swagger) specifications.
• Implement Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices using JUnit, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and global peers to deliver timely, high-quality software solutions.
• Leverage distributed systems architecture, including microservices, service meshes, and API gateways, to enhance system reliability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a strong Java developer with expertise in Java 8 features (Lambdas, Streams, CompletableFuture, Optional).
• Proficient in Spring Containers and Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• Experience with relational databases such as DB2, PostgreSQL, or Sybase.
• Strong working knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP, and REST Services.
• Familiarity with no-SQL databases like MongoDB and asynchronous messaging.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/shell scripting and RDBMS.
• Proficient in source control (GIT), automated build/deployment tools (Jenkins), and collaboration platforms (GitHub, Jira, Confluence).
• Understanding of Agile development and DevOps concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mobile development and cloud computing technologies.
• Significant open source or community contributions.
