Description

You will own the full development lifecycle for time-critical, revenue-generating applications in global capital markets, focusing on scalable, data-intensive, and real-time systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using functional and reactive programming paradigms.
• Build and maintain REST APIs with Spring Boot 2.0, ensuring Open API (Swagger) compliance.
• Implement TDD and BDD practices using JUnit, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.
• Leverage distributed systems architecture including microservices, service meshes, and API gateways.
• Collaborate with Product Management and QA to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Java developer.
• Deep expertise in Java 8 features (Lambdas, Streams, CompletableFuture, Optional).
• Proficient in Spring Containers and Spring Boot for enterprise development.
• Strong working knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP, and REST Services.
• Experience with relational databases such as DB2, PostgreSQL, or Sybase.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and asynchronous messaging.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/shell scripting and RDBMS.
• Proficient in GIT, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Understanding of Agile development and DevOps concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mobile development and cloud computing technologies.
• Significant open source or community contributions.
