Description

You will design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering excellence.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs, asynchronous processing flows, and integration components using Java and Spring Boot.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, including coding, automated testing, CI/CD integration, deployment, and production support.
• Apply secure coding standards and best practices for performance, resiliency, and scalability across backend systems.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with Product, QA, SRE, and Architecture teams.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity, generate scaffolding code, automate boilerplate tasks, and improve code quality.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience with Java/J2EE.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, and microservices architecture.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs, event-driven patterns, and complex backend systems.
• Expert command of Git, GitHub, and effective daily use of GitHub Copilot for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and testing.
• Solid experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL.
• Experience with Redis and Cassandra.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to break down complex tasks, deliver clean maintainable code, and work effectively in a cross-functional Agile environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and advanced automated testing strategies.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on code quality.
