Description

You will design and build scalable systems using complex Java/J2EE technologies within the financial services sector.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design high-performance distributed systems.
• Implement applications using Java/J2EE and middleware components.
• Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle from requirements gathering to maintenance.
• Document technical specifications and functional flows.
• Maintain source code repositories and support production releases.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE software engineering, specifically within financial services or capital markets.
• Expert-level proficiency in Core Java and J2EE standards.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate.
• Experience with distributed caching, specifically Apache EhCache.
• Proficiency with database technologies including Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, and general RDBMS.
• Knowledge of messaging and integration technologies: Web Services, Kafka, JMS, MQ, and Tibco.
• Experience with build tools Maven and ANT.
• Proficiency with IDEs such as IntelliJ and version control systems GIT/SVN.
• Understanding of Agile processes including TDD, XP, and Scrum.
