Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications within an AWS cloud environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployments.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across the tech stack.
• Collaborate with team members on knowledge sharing and paired development.
• Follow best practices for cloud security, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Work independently to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with automation scripting.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified (Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer).
• Prior experience at Capital One in a similar Java/AWS/DevOps stack.
