Description

You will design, build, and maintain backend microservices and RESTful APIs within an Agile environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Manage database migrations and schema changes using Liquibase with Postgres SQL and MongoDB.
• Own the deployment process using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, and Kubernetes.
• Perform code reviews, pair programming, and thorough unit testing with JUnit and CodeCoverage.
• Optimize application performance and debug complex backend issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
• Hands-on expertise with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture.
• Solid understanding of Design Patterns and SDLC processes.
• Ability to implement security practices and micro-segmentation.
• Experience using Jira for task management and Git for version control.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry for observability.
• Understanding of network security and firewall configurations.
