2 roles - (can be Sr API dev or sr Java that do testing)

Github Copilot required

Team will be building out an api, collect salesforce data, pull it out, send to desktop app (homegrown app - pulls the apps they use on a regular basis into an easy to use interface - salesforce is the missing component)

The most important thing from a role perspective - Developers and SDETs both need to write code

SDET is someone who has hands on experience writing code, not just leveraging automation frameworks - important for this team

Should have built automation framework with backend in java, connected to playwright/selenium on the front to orchestrate tests

SDET can have any test automation - selenium/appium/playwright will all work - they leverage BDD framework (cucumber/gherkin)

Will have KO questions we need to go through

Looking for very proactive, senior level resources - look at stories, backlog, get everything done

Heavy API development, Kafka, Github copilot as part of day to day operations - expectation is using AI as part of day to day workflow currently

Just java is fine - primarily spring boot/api development - java pcf exp can work as well

Technical skills:

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Engineering OR related degree and/or practical experience
• Professional level Java web and service development skills, typically built through 7+ years of applicable experience developing in Java/Spring
• Experience participating as a member of a scrum team in an agile environment
• Ability to troubleshoot environmental issues
• Curious about new technologies and processes. You always seek to improve yourself and everyone around you and proactively seek and share knowledge with others outside of your organization
• Strong Java backend experiences including designing highly fault tolerant and scalable systems
• Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions when tools don’t work
• Motivation and passion to stay on top of new and emerging test and automation technologies and able to provide direction to test teams

Strong people skills:

 Preferred Technical Qualifications:

• Experience with frameworks such as Java, Java Core, Spring Boot, Hibernate and  understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language). Leveraging GitHub Copilot for AI within developer tasks is a requirement. 
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry 
• Experience in enterprise messaging platforms using WMQ, RabbitMQ and Kafka. 
• Hands-on working knowledge of Kafka streams in building messaging and services-based software is preferred
• Experience with distributed multi-tier applications,NoSQL databases like MongoDB and/or rational databases like Oracle/SQL is preferred
• Experience with REST API service testing using tools, SOAPUI; Advanced REST Client
• Experience using test automation tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Gherkin, Ruby, Selenium, Appium, Playwright
• Experience with CI /CD tools like Bamboo, Zephyr, Bit Bucket, Shell Scripting/Powershell, Splunk is a plus.
• Experience with moving Salesforce data into custom applications is a plus
