Description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and production-grade microservices in Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document detailed solution designs that trace back to business requirements and leverage reusable components.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct code reviews and Operational Readiness Reviews to ensure quality, standards compliance, and ease of maintenance.
• Implement data products and custom data models while ensuring data integrity across various systems.
• Provide technical support to resolve escalated incidents and outages.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Java developer.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring frameworks.
• Experience with big data tools including Hadoop, HDFS, ADLS, ADF, Spark, and Dremio.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically Cassandra.
• Proven track record designing production-grade, scalable applications and microservices.
• Experience working within Agile teams.
• Undergraduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python and Scala.
• 5+ years of Capital Markets experience.
• Experience with Kafka and Databricks.
