Description

Design and maintain software systems for operating, networked, and database environments while managing the full software development lifecycle.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through testing and delivery.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces.
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement changes to resolve technical problems.
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate hardware-software interfaces and define performance requirements.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and J2EE.
• Strong experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to perform business and systems analysis.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
