You will drive the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Java EE technologies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy Java EE components, including EJB, JPA, and SOAP services, to inform architectural decisions.
• Participate in application rationalization and transformation planning efforts.
• Support technical walkthroughs and documentation to map application behavior, dependencies, and integration points.
• Collaborate with architects and business analysts to ensure modernization keeps core business logic intact.
• Assist in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native platforms, focusing on microservices and API-driven patterns.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java EE development.
• Expertise with Java EE, Java EE 8, EJB, JPA, and SOAP.
• Experience utilizing AI code analysis tools on legacy Java EE applications.
• Ability to extract and document detailed business requirements from existing codebases.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
