Description

You will develop core enterprise microservices using Java and Spring Boot for the Application Platform team.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Gather and verify technical requirements for new features.
• Author and audit technical designs for implemented features.
• Write high-quality code ensuring full test coverage across multiple modules.
• Review peers' code to confirm functional correctness and quality standards.
• Lead technical initiatives, driving design reviews and achieving outcomes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years on Java/Spring Boot backend services.
• Expertise in core Java, including multithreading, memory management, and collections.
• Deep experience designing microservices (service boundaries, API design, idempotency, circuit breaking).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, RESTful APIs, and production-level troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, including consumer groups and schema evolution.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Solid grasp of testing methodologies: unit, integration, and contract tests.
• Proficiency in observability practices (logs, metrics, traces) for JVM services.
• Bachelor's degree required.
