Description

You will develop and maintain complex, high-volume transactional payment systems and web-based Java applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business logic using Java Server Pages, Data Access Objects, and SQL.
• Build and maintain application security layers for web applications.
• Conduct program tests using JUnit and develop comprehensive test plans to verify system integrity.
• Create technical documentation including structure, behavior, and interaction diagrams.
• Provide on-call support and onsite assistance for release implementations and database activities.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java development for large, web-based applications.
• Expertise in Java Enterprise Edition (EE) technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Struts Framework and Spring Framework (IOC, MVC, AOP, Batch).
• Proficiency in SQL for writing queries, analyzing problems, and correcting entries.
• Strong understanding of Gang of Four design patterns, specifically Factory, Command, and Strategy.
• Experience with JSP, iBatis, Maven, and JUnit.
• Front-end proficiency in jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX.
• Experience with WebSphere and Rational Toolset (Clear Case/Clear Quest).

Preferred Skills

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with financial, insurance, or government technology systems.
