Description

You will design, develop, and maintain complex web-based Java applications and integrated business systems for high-volume, transactional payment environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business logic, Java Server Pages (JSP), and Data Access Objects using SQL.
• Analyze change requests for Benefit Systems using Java EE, Struts, or Spring frameworks.
• Develop and conduct program tests using JUnit to ensure system integrity and prevent regression.
• Create complex technical documentation including structure, behavior, and interaction diagrams.
• Provide on-call support and onsite off-hours assistance for release implementations and database activities.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Java Enterprise Edition (EE) technologies.
• Proficiency in Struts Framework and Spring Framework (MVC, IOC, AOP, Batch).
• Strong command of Gang of Four design patterns, specifically Factory, Command, and Strategy.
• Hands-on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) for database queries and analysis.
• Proficiency in Java Server Pages (JSP), iBatis, and Maven.
• Front-end expertise in JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX.
• Experience with WebSphere and Rational Toolset (Clear Case/Clear Quest).
• Ability to develop application security layers for web applications.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting financial, insurance, or government technology systems.
