Description

You will own the administration and maintenance of production Kafka environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in a highly available setup.
• Perform Kafka upgrades and patching while ensuring minimal downtime.
• Administer security protocols and access controls for the Kafka platform.
• Monitor cluster health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents like broker outages and replication lag.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Kafka administration experience.
• Experience administering Confluent Kafka clusters.
• Strong background in Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for observability.
• Demonstrated expertise in Kafka upgrades and production troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
