Description

Manage and support the Linux environment for the database team, ensuring stability for database operations and resolving production job failures.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production job failures in collaboration with the database team.
• Execute weekend maintenance activities to apply changes during non-peak hours.
• Develop user documentation, guidelines, and presentation materials.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Linux administration and support processes.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Linux Administration (or a Master's/Doctorate degree in lieu of experience).
• Proficiency in Linux patching, upgrading, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with Linux commands, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower.
• Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Solid working knowledge of AWS Cloud.
• Experience supporting databases running on Linux.
