Description

Manage system availability, administration, and compliance across multiple customer environments. Own the release and maintenance lifecycle for RHEL infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tooling to automate monitoring, metrics collection, and self-service infrastructure management.
• Manage customer-specific golden RHEL images, enforce DISA STIGs, run SCAP checks, and handle OS patching.
• Diagnose and resolve OS and application issues, including crashes and performance concerns, through root cause analysis.
• Automate daily administrative tasks using Python, Bash Shell, and Ansible.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for incident resolution.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Linux Administration experience supporting production environments.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix troubleshooting and log file forensics.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for configuration management.
• Ability to write automation scripts using Python or other interpreted languages.
• Experience managing servers in cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and storage-related troubleshooting.
• Experience with patch management using DNF and troubleshooting automated patching via Ansible.
• Current Linux certification (LPIC-2, RHCSA, SCA, etc.) or ability to obtain one within six months.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrable experience in enterprise-level environments.
• Prior experience with hyperscale cloud platforms.
