Description

You will manage and administer Linux, VMware, and IBM AIX server environments within a complex infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform senior-level Linux and VMware administration, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, system tuning, and maintenance.
• Plan, design, and implement high availability AIX, PowerVM, and VIO systems.
• Manage operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes for production AIX and Linux servers.
• Develop Ansible scripts to automate Linux system monitoring and management.
• Execute infrastructure projects involving the installation of hardware and software across mainframe, distributed servers, storage, and networking.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of IT experience supporting and enhancing enterprise infrastructure and DR capabilities.
• 5+ years of experience as a RedHat Linux and VMware Administrator in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with technical expertise in PowerVM, VIO, and HACMP AIX.
• Proficiency with IBM LPM and PowerHA management.
• Experience installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x/7.x on physical blades and VMware ESXi 7.x environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring VMware ESX on Dell and client server hardware.
• Solid understanding of SAN interactions within virtual environments.
• Ability to partition disks, create logical volumes, and manage file systems in Linux.
• Ability to read, modify, and create shell scripts.
