Description

You will develop, maintain, and modernize core mainframe applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
• Lead legacy system modernization while ensuring business continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and resolve production issues.
• Perform impact analysis, develop functional specifications, and contribute to high-level architecture.
• Ensure application quality through rigorous testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

Required Skills

• Minimum 15 years of hands-on mainframe application development experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and mainframe utilities.
• Expertise in batch and online processing environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to DevOps tooling in mainframe pipelines.
• Track record of modernization initiatives like API integrations.
