Description

You will own the development, modernization, and maintenance of mission-critical mainframe applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and implement mainframe applications using TELON, COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2.
• Lead modernization efforts to transition TELON-based components to contemporary platforms while ensuring backward compatibility.
• Perform detailed impact analysis for application changes and contribute to technical solution designs.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between TELON applications and other internal or external systems.
• Provide L3 support for production issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of progressive experience in mainframe application development and system support.
• Extensive hands-on experience with TELON development, debugging, and code generation.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM within a z/OS environment.
• Strong understanding of mainframe batch and online processing architecture.
• Knowledge of Java, DevOps, Jenkins, .NET, and Endevor.
• Ability to work within Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall SDLC environments.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in TELON-to-COBOL or TELON-to-Java/.NET migration efforts.
• Experience with mainframe DevOps tools such as Changeman, Xpediter, or File-AID.
