Description

You will design, develop, and maintain complex mainframe and ETL applications throughout the full software development lifecycle.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and application packaging solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis, resolve application failures, and implement fixes for production issues.
• Manage application migrations, set up test environments, and manipulate test data for unit and system testing.
• Execute performance tuning, conduct code reviews, and coordinate application updates or installations.
• Mentor less experienced team members and lead technical discussions regarding software implementation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive experience as a Software Developer, Systems Analyst, or Programmer.
• Extensive experience with COBOL, DB2, IMS, and JCL.
• Proficiency with Ab-initio, ESP, and Changeman.
• Experience using Easytrieve, Putty, and File Manager.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Unix environments.
• Strong background in SQL, REXX, PL1, SyncSort, and CICS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
