Description

You will lead the development, modernization, and maintenance of mission-critical mainframe applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test mainframe applications using TELON, COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2.
• Lead modernization efforts to transition TELON-based applications to contemporary platforms.
• Perform detailed impact analysis and contribute to technical solution designs.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between legacy applications and other internal or external systems.
• Provide L3 support for production issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in mainframe application development and system support.
• Extensive hands-on experience with TELON development, debugging, and code generation.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM within a z/OS environment.
• Experience with Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall SDLC environments.
• Strong skills in system tuning, code optimization, and debugging.
• Knowledge of Java, Jenkins, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to document complex technical architectures and design artifacts.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in TELON-to-COBOL or TELON-to-Java/.NET migration projects.
• Experience with mainframe DevOps tools such as Endevor, Changeman, Xpediter, or File-AID.
