Description

You will analyze requirements, design solutions, and develop changes for mainframe systems. You own the full lifecycle from unit and SIT test case creation to deployment in lower and production environments. You are also responsible for maintaining system documentation and preparing necessary artifacts.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design technical solutions for mainframe applications.
• Develop and implement code changes using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
• Create and execute unit and system integration test cases to ensure quality.
• Plan and manage deployments across lower and production environments.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and prepare deployment artifacts.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL and JCL programming.
• Experience with DB2 database management and query optimization.
• Working knowledge of VSAM file structures and CICS transaction processing.
• Familiarity with Topaz for system interaction and debugging.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated deployment tools in mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of performance tuning for DB2 and CICS transactions.
