Description

You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe software and database structures following established engineering standards.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug COBOL programs and batch processing via JCL.
• Investigate and repair application defects across COBOL, business logic, middleware, and databases.
• Evaluate the impact of database schema changes and operating system updates on existing software.
• Create and maintain code using REXX, CLIST, and mainframe utility tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to provide technical advice and influence strategic objectives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience working with Mainframe systems.
• Expertise in COBOL and JCL.
• Proficiency with DB2 and PL/SQL.
• Experience with CLIST and REXX.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Bitbucket, Docker, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
