Description

You will analyze and document business rules embedded within legacy COBOL and CISC code to facilitate system conversion. You will deconstruct complex legacy code to uncover underlying logic and translate findings into comprehensive technical documentation. You will support system integrators by providing logic specifications for data conversion to modern platforms and contribute to the design process for migrating data from legacy environments.

Responsibilities

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in mainframe environments.
• Expertise in COBOL programming and reading legacy code.
• Strong understanding of CISC architecture and principles.
• Proven ability to document complex technical logic for external integrators.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for code deconstruction.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Java, C++, or Python for system conversion processes.
