Description

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical IBM z/OS mainframe systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and platform improvements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and implement technical solutions for mainframe systems while managing scope, dates, and budgets.
• Monitor production schedules, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and provide 24x7 on-call support including off-hours and weekends.
• Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and align solutions with enterprise goals.
• Document technical processes, participate in reviews, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM z/OS mainframe technology.
• Strong background in z/OS Systems Programming, including SMP/E, DB2, IMS, and CICS.
• Experience in system maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Proven track record of technical problem solving and leading complex projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on meeting defined targets.

Preferred Skills

• 10+ years of experience with IBM z/Series mainframe technology.
• Experience working with vendors to resolve software and systems issues.
