Lead the engineering team in designing, building, and scaling a cloud-based data platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop engineering talent, focusing on recruitment, retention, and professional growth.
• Design and implement scalable real-time and batch data processing services.
• Apply API-first design and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to create modular, reusable services.
• Drive technical excellence through CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring best practices.
• Leverage serverless architectures to minimize infrastructure overhead and optimize AWS resource usage.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong expertise in the Go programming language.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Deep understanding of API-first development and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience building high-availability data processing pipelines (near-real-time and batch).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and data streaming technologies such as Kinesis or Kafka.
• Proven experience with CI/CD practices and monitoring for cloud-native applications.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT field.
