Description

You will lead database operations strategy and manage a team of DBAs and database engineers to ensure performance, security, scalability, and high availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of DBAs and engineers through coaching, career development, and technical guidance.
• Drive architectural decisions for data storage, replication, disaster recovery, and reliability in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Own the health and lifecycle of all database environments, including SQL Server instances on-premises and in the cloud.
• Define and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for database management and operations.
• Implement security policies, including encryption, access control, and auditing.

Required Skills

• 15 years of total experience with 10+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server administration (2016 and newer).
• Expertise in T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, Always On Availability Groups, replication, and clustering.
• Proficiency with relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL technologies including Redis, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Experience managing SQL Server in cloud platforms such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of team leadership or management experience in a database operations role.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace and AWS infrastructure.
