Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop policies and procedures to optimize incident responses ensuring swift resolution of system issues and minimize service disruptions.
• Direct activities in the adoption and continual refinement of containerization and orchestration technologies for efficient application deployment and scaling.
• Ensure governance throughout the implementation and maintenance of robust monitoring and alerting systems for real-time anomaly detection and response.
• Counsel with security teams to integrate robust security practices into continuous delivery pipeline and overall system architecture.
• Direct department operations throughout proactive capacity planning initiatives to anticipate and mitigate potential scalability challenges.
• Analyze organization post-incident reports to drive continuous improvement and inform development and implementation of preventive measures.
• Conduct periodic reviews and optimizations of cloud infrastructure to ensure cost-effectiveness and responsiveness to dynamic workloads.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to embed reliability and scalability considerations in design and architecture of new system features.
• Communicate direction to site reliability engineers to enhance their technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and collaborative abilities.
• Oversee technological duties associated with cloud computing including design, planning, management, maintenance, and support activities.
• Manage large teams or multiple smaller teams consisting of both experienced technical professionals and managers.
• Focus on tactical and operational plans with short to mid-term focus and manage projects of significant size and company impact.

Experience Required: Experienced professional with relevant combination of work and education. Expert-level knowledge and skills within specific technical discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
