Description

You will design, test, and industrialize mechanical and electro-mechanical modules for manufacturing environments. You own the full lifecycle from design documentation to integration support.

Responsibilities

• Design and document mechanical parts, assemblies, and electronic enclosures including cabinets, racks, and panels.
• Develop AC/DC main power distribution systems, panel boards, and interconnect cable harnesses.
• Model flex and rigid PCBs, accounting for volume constraints and critical part locations.
• Perform dimensional and tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure assembly fit.
• Write assembly procedures, test specifications, and technical test reports.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience involving electronics, mechatronics, or complex mechanical products.
• Proficiency in sheet metal design using SolidWorks.
• Experience with cable routing, bundling, wiring design, and connector harnessing.
• Knowledge of heat and temperature management and basic thermodynamics.
• Experience designing for manufacturability (DFM) for low to medium volume products.
• Familiarity with UL 763 compliance for mechanical enclosures.
• Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of industry codes including NEC 70, NFPA 79, and Machine Tool Standards.
• Experience with dFMEA and interfacing with motors or reduction boxes.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Creo.
• Fluency in Spanish.
