Description

You will manage high-level technical support and engineering for hybrid Exchange environments, covering on-premises and Microsoft Office 365 government cloud tenants.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain on-premises Exchange servers and large-scale Office 365 tenants in a resource forest model.
• Migrate user data and mail systems from legacy platforms (Exchange 2003-2016, Novell GroupWise, Lotus Notes) to hybrid platforms.
• Manage email flow via SMTP gateways and configure Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Defender.
• Administer Office 365 compliance controls, including DLP and RMS.
• Execute system upgrades with testing, risk analysis, and rollback procedures for email services.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience applying engineering disciplines to cloud computing and governance.
• 7+ years designing, building, and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange in a resource forest model with Active Directory.
• 7+ years migrating mail systems from Exchange 2003-2016, Novell GroupWise, or Lotus Notes to Office 365/Exchange hybrid platforms.
• 7+ years installing, configuring, and monitoring Exchange/Office 365 systems using PowerShell and Exchange tools.
• 7+ years responding to complex technical incidents in on-premises and cloud environments.
• 7+ years administering Exchange ActiveSync services.
• 6+ years using monitoring tools such as SCOM and UnitySync (version 2 or higher).
• 3.5+ years configuring and troubleshooting Exchange Online Protection (EOP).
• 3+ years supporting Office 365 compliance controls including DLP and RMS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 government cloud tenants.
