Description

You will manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Microsoft SQL Server (2012–2022) in standalone, clustered, and Always On Availability Group environments.
• Manage production, UAT, and development SQL Server instances, ensuring availability and performance meets SLAs.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using execution plans and DMV analysis.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup/recovery strategies, supporting disaster recovery exercises.
• Develop and maintain T-SQL and PowerShell scripts to automate operations and improve efficiency.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong expertise in T-SQL and complex query optimization.
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, architecture, and Always On Availability Groups.
• Experience managing Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency in database backup, recovery, and high availability configurations.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, Redgate, SolarWinds).
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for database automation.
