Description
You will manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Microsoft SQL Server (2012–2022) in standalone, clustered, and Always On Availability Group environments.
- Manage production, UAT, and development SQL Server instances, ensuring availability and performance meets SLAs.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using execution plans and DMV analysis.
- Design, implement, and maintain backup/recovery strategies, supporting disaster recovery exercises.
- Develop and maintain T-SQL and PowerShell scripts to automate operations and improve efficiency.
Required Skills
- 11+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong expertise in T-SQL and complex query optimization.
- Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, architecture, and Always On Availability Groups.
- Experience managing Windows Server environments.
- Proficiency in database backup, recovery, and high availability configurations.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, Redgate, SolarWinds).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for database automation.
