Description

Lead the modernization of legacy .NET 4.8 WCF services into cloud-native microservices and define the target architecture for this migration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate .NET 4.8 WCF services to .NET 10, CoreWCF, and REST/gRPC, including converting VB.NET code to C#.
• Design cloud-native architecture on Azure using AKS, Service Bus, and API Management for horizontal scaling.
• Guide DevOps practices for ephemeral environments using Infrastructure as Code and Redis Cache.
• Implement AI-led development practices, including Github Copilot, and review existing architecture for modernization opportunities.
• Collaborate with client architects to define API-based designs using API Gateways and service mesh concepts.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years architecting modern applications.
• Expertise in migrating monolithic brownfield applications to microservices and containers.
• Strong background in .NET, WCF, CoreWCF, and transitioning to REST/gRPC.
• Experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, Service Bus, API Management) and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Github Copilot.
• Proficiency in C# and VB.NET, with the ability to convert legacy code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud architect certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerized applications on Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE) or ECS.
