Description

You will define and maintain enterprise network architecture principles, design patterns, and standards while driving technology roadmaps and modernization efforts. You lead RFP processes, evaluate vendor proposals, and provide architectural support for escalated operational issues through root cause analysis. You also establish governance frameworks and champion automation and AI-enabled tooling to improve network efficiency.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define network architecture principles, design patterns, and configuration standards across the enterprise.
• Evaluate current-state network technologies to identify gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities.
• Lead RFP development, evaluate supplier proposals, and recommend technology solutions to leadership.
• Provide architectural support for escalated issues, driving structured root cause analysis and remediation.
• Establish and enforce architectural guardrails and governance frameworks in a multi-technology environment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering and/or architecture experience.
• Strong breadth across LAN, WAN, wireless, security, and cloud-adjacent services.
• Experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco SDA, and traditional enterprise routing and switching.
• Proficiency in WAN design including MPLS with redundancy, diversity, and resiliency.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, specifically Palo Alto Networks.
• Familiarity with Zscaler for SASE/ZIA/ZPA implementations.
• Experience leading RFP processes and presenting to senior leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or network analytics platforms like Cisco ThousandEyes.
• Architecture experience in large-scale, distributed enterprise manufacturing environments.
• Active certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or PCNSE.
