Description

Manage and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve network-related issues, including routing loops, asymmetric routing, and STP loop issues.
• Implement operational changes and coordinate with project teams for scheduled updates.
• Represent the network team during change and incident management meetings.
• Analyze tool outputs to provide recommendations for performance improvements, such as addressing high CPU utilization on core data center devices.
• Communicate technical requirements clearly to customers and offshore teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus 9K/7K series switches using IOS and NX-OS.
• Deep knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Expertise in LAN switching: VLAN, VTP, STP, and EtherChannel.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA, IPS, and Cisco Client.
• Hands-on experience with network security: IPSec/SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, AAA architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS, and 802.1x.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and application protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, and SSL.
• Capability to configure and troubleshoot Quality of Service (QoS) and application load balancers.
• Experience supporting applications including SAP and Citrix.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SD-WAN (Silver Peak preferred) and Next Gen Firewalls (Cisco Firepower preferred).
• Knowledge of wireless networking via Cisco WLC and cloud firewall services like Zscaler.
