Description

You will manage and optimize complex network infrastructures and security protocols in Charlotte, NC.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve network issues including routing loops, asymmetric routing, and STP loops.
• Implement operational changes and coordinate with project teams for scheduled infrastructure updates.
• Represent the network team during change and incident management meetings.
• Analyze tool outputs to provide technical recommendations, such as addressing high CPU utilization on core data center devices.
• Communicate technical requirements clearly to customers and offshore teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of network engineering experience.
• Expertise in routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Proficiency in LAN switching: VLAN, VTP, STP, and EtherChannel.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus 9K/7K series switches.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco IOS and NX-OS software.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite and application protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, and SSL.
• Security implementation including IPSec/SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, AAA architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS, and 802.1x.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA, IPS, and Cisco ISE.
• Management of Quality of Service (QoS) and application load balancers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SD-WAN, specifically Silver Peak.
• Experience with Next Gen Firewalls, specifically Cisco Firepower.
• Experience with Zscaler cloud firewall services.
