Description

You will own the remediation and hardening of network infrastructure to maintain security and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Review Qualys Vulnerability Management findings and vendor advisories to define remediation approaches, including firmware upgrades, OS updates, and configuration hardening.
• Execute device upgrades and production changes within scheduled windows, ensuring strict adherence to pre-check and post-check disciplines.
• Implement network hardening standards, covering secure management access, removal of weak protocols, logging posture, credential management, and segmentation policy support.
• Validate service health post-change and execute rollbacks where required; document outcomes and evidence for audit trails.
• Maintain metrics for remediation throughput, upgrade success rates, vulnerability aging, and repeat findings to support SLA reporting.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of direct, hands-on network engineering experience.
• Proven experience executing firmware upgrades and managing production change windows.
• Demonstrated ability to apply network hardening configurations and validate operational impact.
• Familiarity with Qualys Vulnerability Management reporting and validation processes.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving P1 and P2 network issues.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills

• Hospital or broader healthcare IT experience.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Juniper Networks Certified Associate, or equivalent.
