Description

You will build, modify, and support the network lab environment used by the SDN team for pre-deployment testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain physical testbeds, including the installation of switches, routers, and servers.
• Manage internal lab resources, covering network setups, server builds, VM creation, and license management.
• Automate resource utilization and lab management tasks to improve efficiency.
• Provision Linux and WireGuard user accounts using Ansible-based workflows.
• Troubleshoot network communication issues and implement fixes or alternatives.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of relevant network engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing and building network labs or testbeds.
• Deep understanding of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Linux distributions including RHEL, Ubuntu, and CentOS.
• Proficiency with KVM, OpenStack, IPv4, IPv6, VPN, and VLAN.
• Experience using Ansible for equipment configuration and routine task automation.
• Experience deploying virtualized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or VMware.
• Experience with multi-vendor system integration and technical vendor management.
• Knowledge of network security principles.

Preferred Skills

• Collaborate with SDN Architecture and Development teams to adapt lab environments to new technology designs.
