You will architect and manage enterprise-grade WAAP and network security solutions, aligning infrastructure with application security strategies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy WAAP platforms including WAF, API security, bot management, and DDoS mitigation across global environments.
• Develop and maintain custom WAF rules, security policies, and signatures to protect critical applications from OWASP Top 10 and API threats.
• Architect secure network infrastructure for data center, campus, and cloud environments, ensuring compliance with Zero Trust and NIST standards.
• Integrate WAAP and SIEM systems with identity providers, threat intelligence feeds, and DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis for application-layer attacks, and security posture visibility through risk reporting.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in network security architecture, engineering, and operations.
• Deep expertise in WAAP platforms (Akamai, Imperva, or cloud-native AWS/Azure WAF).
• Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper), IDS/IPS, and VPN.
• Proficiency in managing SIEM systems and integrating with EDR/XDR and IAM platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Experience securing applications in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, API security controls, and bot mitigation strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevSecOps integration and CI/CD security controls.
• Knowledge of proxy architectures and secure internet gateways.
