Description

You will own the migration and ongoing operational stability of the Webscale 1.6 platform across the entire cluster fleet.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute platform migrations using standard in-service and blue/green upgrade strategies.
• Plan, validate, and perform Kubernetes/OpenShift cluster upgrades while minimizing service disruption.
• Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes/OpenShift distributions across the fleet.
• Automate upgrade and operational workflows using Bash, Ansible, and Python.
• Troubleshoot platform, networking, storage, and add-on service issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in Linux system administration and platform engineering.
• Proven experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Kubernetes or OpenShift distributions.
• Proficiency in automation tools: Bash, Ansible, and Python.
• Working knowledge of the Kubernetes API Server and core networking fundamentals.
• Experience managing configuration and changes through Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and operational runbook documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SDN concepts, OVN-Kubernetes, or Multus CNI.
• Knowledge of service meshes, Service Proxy for Kubernetes, or NetApp storage solutions.
• Virtualization and Linux certifications.
