Description

You will develop and optimize large-scale Oracle database systems to support reporting for school districts across Texas.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views using PL/SQL.
• Perform database performance tuning to reduce SGA, PGA, and Temp Space usage.
• Manage, query, and manipulate data stored in JSON and XML formats within Oracle tables.
• Execute the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies, including dev/unit testing and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and report efficiency.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including bulk collect and complex query optimization.
• 7+ years of experience in database optimization and reducing resource usage (SGA/PGA/TempSpace).
• 7+ years of experience in technical documentation of solutions, processes, and reports.
• 7+ years of experience with development and unit testing.
• 7+ years of experience working within Agile development environments.
• 4+ years of experience storing, querying, and manipulating JSON and XML data within Oracle databases.
• 4+ years of experience creating complex queries and views using JSON/XML data formats.
• 4+ years of experience optimizing stored procedures that access JSON-formatted data.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
