Description

You will manage and maintain Oracle database environments with a focus on RAC and high availability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure and build Oracle RAC environments and manage Oracle ASM.
• Execute database upgrades, patches, and release updates.
• Perform database performance tuning and application SQL tuning.
• Manage backups and recovery using the RMAN utility.
• Support the application system development life cycle.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle ASM.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Oracle RAC in-place upgrades and patches.
• Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager Suite and Grid Control.
• Experience using TOAD, Oracle SQL Developer, or comparable tools.
• Hands-on experience with AIX (version 7.x or higher) and Shell/UNIX scripting.
• Expertise in configuring physical standby, logical databases, Data Guard, and Active Data Guard (ADG).
• Strong knowledge of RMAN backup utility functionality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with snapshot cloning technology using Oracle ACFS with Oracle RAC and Standby databases.
• Experience using Data Guard Broker.
