Description

You will own the administration, support, and performance optimization of Oracle OMS and eSRI-based GIS environments and their underlying databases.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Oracle OMS and GIS-related Linux/Windows server requests adhering to ConEd standards.
• Monitor and optimize performance across all ArcGIS/ArcFM environments.
• Maintain data synchronization jobs and report failures to Application Points of Contact.
• Perform ongoing database maintenance, including compression, index rebuilding, and schema updates.
• Manage growth, scalability, and data replication processes for geospatial data models.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator specializing in Oracle.
• Expertise in advanced SQL development and creating stored procedures using Oracle SQL Developer.
• Experience managing Geographic Information Systems, specifically ArcGIS and Oracle Spatial.
• Proficiency with database backup and recovery methods (RMAN, Data Pump, Export/Import).
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
• Experience with spatial indexing (e.g., Parallel, Partitioned Spatial Indexes).
• Ability to script automation tasks using Shell Scripts and batch scripts.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of core database technologies including MySQL, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise GIS (ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1) and related migrations.
