Description

You will lead testing activities and technical implementation for Microsoft Fabric Release 1 projects.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements and source-to-target mappings into technical solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and tables within SQL Analytics endpoints to perform data validation, transformation, and quality checks.
• Build data pipelines and dataflows to automate QA workflows, including data ingestion and comparison between staging and target layers.
• Execute end-to-end testing for Power BI reports, covering visualization accuracy, performance, security, incremental refreshes, and usability.
• Manage defect lifecycles in JIRA and maintain application life-cycle management (ALM) documentation with detailed test evidence.
• Create comprehensive test artifacts including plans, scenarios, and cases for Synapse data warehouses and embedded Power BI reports.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data development and testing.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI and T-SQL.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and SSIS.
• Experience building data pipelines using ADF.
• Strong background in data validation, including record counts, calculated measures, and aggregation checks.
• Ability to develop automated data comparison workflows across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and status reporting.
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture and shortcuts.
• Degree in any graduate field.
