Description

Lead network engineering efforts in a lab environment to support enterprise-wide digital transformation and system integration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement engineering changes and coordinate directly with peers, SMEs, and government engineers.
• Advise on the integration of emerging industry technologies into program systems.
• Review, analyze, and incorporate technical requirements into end-to-end system architectures.
• Complete network configurations and troubleshoot complex network issues.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols.
• Deep understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 network design, including IP sub-netting.
• Hands-on experience with network device configuration and troubleshooting, specifically Cisco IOS/IOS-XE.
• Knowledge of advanced features including GRE, IPsec, IP QoS, VLANs, and multicast.
• Familiarity with network management protocols such as SNMP, SSH, syslog, and RADIUS/TACACS.
• Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills

• DoD 8570 Security certification (Sec+, CASP, CISSP) or networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).
• Experience with Splunk, Firepower Management Center (FMC), or Cisco ISE.
