Description

Responsibilities
Own the PR/PO Lifecycle

  • Intake demand across Materials Management teams; create accurate PRs (part #, qty, supplier, cost center) and validate against on-hand/nettable inventory and open POs to prevent duplicate buys.
  • Confirm sourcing category and Sourcing Manager, route PRs for approval, and expedite stuck requisitions.
  • Convert PRs to POs and drive the full lifecycle — promise date, shipment, receipt, closure — managing changes, cancellations, and price revisions.
  • Resolve open receiving errors and shipment/quantity exceptions; raise and track procurement system/tooling defects to resolution.

Set the Standard — Senior Scope

  • Standardize requisition intake across Materials Management teams — define required fields, intake channels, and SLAs, and drive adoption with teams you do not manage.
  • Own PR/PO trackers and status reporting as the source of truth; define the metrics (cycle time, backlog aging, exception rates) the team runs on.
  • Drive automation — identify manual, repetitive work and partner with tooling/analytics to eliminate it.
  • Deputize for the team lead — prepare spend/status summaries, flag risks and escalations, and coordinate PR/PO priorities on their behalf across the Materials Management teams.
  • Mentor and unblock junior specialists; serve as the escalation point and subject-matter expert for complex or high-value buys.
  • Judge escalation well: know what to resolve directly versus what leadership must decide.
  • Own the transition in — run knowledge transfer from the outgoing team, capture how the work is done today, and ensure nothing is dropped during handover.
  • Assess and improve the inherited process — decide what to adopt as-is, what to fix, and what to retire; then raise the bar on efficiency, reliability, and standardization (intake forms, trackers, SLAs, runbooks, reporting cadence) and document it so it outlasts you.
  • Help define scope and shape the team — partner with the team lead on what this team owns and where boundaries sit with adjacent teams; as the team grows to 3–5, contribute to hiring input, onboarding materials, and how work is divided.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of procure-to-pay (P2P) / PR-to-PO experience in an ERP or procurement system (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, NetSuite), with hands-on transaction ownership — not reporting-only.
  • Demonstrated ownership of the full order lifecycle: requisition creation, approval routing, PO conversion, receiving/3-way match, and closure.
  • Strong supply-chain fundamentals: on-hand, nettable, min/max, safety stock, lead time, demand/supply.
  • Advanced data and spreadsheet skills; builds trackers, reports, and dashboards that leadership relies on.
  • Proven exception-tracking discipline, supplier/stakeholder communication, and SLA orientation.
  • Track record of influencing without authority — landing a process, standard, or tool change across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and prioritize competing demand under pressure.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change — has taken over, stabilized, and then improved an existing process (transition, migration, or insourcing/outsourcing handover experience is highly relevant).
  • Evidence-based improvement instinct — measures before redesigning, and can point to a process they made measurably faster or more reliable.
  • Strong bias toward documentation and repeatability: leaves behind runbooks, not tribal knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Infra/DC hardware experience, and NPI/mass-production familiarity (BOM, ramp, ODM/supplier coordination).
  • Sourcing/category exposure and supplier negotiation experience.
  • Reading or writing queries against Presto/Unidash/Tableau; automation mindset (scripting, Power Automate, or similar).
  • Experience mentoring or informally leading buyers/analysts.
  • Relevant certification (CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, Six Sigma)
