Description

You own the full lifecycle of web applications and data warehouse processes, from design through deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software in Java, including web applications, offline processes, and ELT data load processes.
• Make independent design decisions and implement new features for flagship applications and peripheral systems.
• Identify and implement tools to improve code maintenance, automated deployments, and performance monitoring.
• Analyze application performance issues, troubleshoot operational bugs, and manage disaster recovery strategies.
• Mentor junior team members on programming, testing, builds, and deployment best practices.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software analysis, design, and application development.
• Expertise in Java SE, Java EE, and J2EE.
• Deep knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot frameworks and common design patterns.
• Experience with RDBMS/SQL, specifically MySQL.
• Proficiency with web service implementation and integration using SOAP/REST, JSON, and XML.
• Hands-on experience with developer tools including Eclipse, Jira, Bamboo, Maven, Gradle, Git, and SVN.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS technologies including S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, DynamoDB, RDS, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies and Angular.
• Experience with MarkLogic XML repository and search.
